Seal scripts With so many official currencies available, private currency is generally not a serious problem. Song coins are used throughout most of Asia, especially in Korea, Japan, Annam, and Indonesia. Piles of Song coins are often found in these countries.
Various types of cash coins are commonly produced. The inscription almost always changes when the period title is changed. The writing styles seal, li, regular, running, and "grass" were all used at different times. Many of the inscriptions were written by reigning Emperors, resulting in some of the most admired and analyzed calligraphy to be found on cash coins. In addition, the inscription uses (元 寶 yuánbǎo) and ( 通 寶 tōng bǎo), so the number of variations can be increased. Large coins using ( 重 寶 zhòng bǎo) were also issued in various sizes and denominations.
